      Welcome to

      St. Patrick School

Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions a family can make. At St. Patrick School, we are honored to partner with parents in forming children academically, spiritually, and personally in a faith-filled environment rooted in the Catholic tradition.

Founded in 1921 and inspired by the legacy of the Sisters of Mercy, St. Patrick School has proudly served generations of families in Bay Shore and the surrounding communities. Our mission is to provide a strong academic foundation while nurturing students to become compassionate, faith-filled leaders who live the values of the Gospel in their daily lives.

    • Once a shamrock,
       always a shamrock

      Rooted in Faith and Mercy

Since 1921, St. Patrick School has formed students in the Catholic tradition while carrying forward the charism of the Sisters of Mercy. Faith is woven into every aspect of school life, guiding students to grow spiritually, academically, and morally. Our students encounter Christ daily through prayer, sacramental life, liturgical celebrations, service opportunities, and the witness of a caring Catholic community. We strive to form young people who not only know their faith, but live it with compassion, integrity, and joy.

      A Strong Catholic Culture

At St. Patrick School, Catholic identity is more than a subject taught in the classroom—it is the foundation of who we are. Students participate in school Masses, prayer services, Eucharistic Adoration, and seasonal liturgical celebrations that deepen their understanding of the Church and their relationship with God. Inspired by the Gospel message and the Mercy tradition, we encourage students to become people of respect, kindness, service, and moral courage who recognize the dignity of every person.

      A Supportive and Family-Oriented Community

St. Patrick School is a place where every child is known, valued, and supported. Our close-knit community fosters a welcoming and family-centered environment where students feel safe to learn, grow, and thrive. Faculty and staff work in partnership with parents to nurture the whole child—academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. We believe children flourish when they are encouraged, challenged, and loved within a community grounded in faith and mutual respect.

      Academic Excellence with Purpose

We are committed to providing a rigorous academic program that prepares students for success in high school, college, and beyond. By emphasizing mastery of foundational skills across all areas of the curriculum, students develop the confidence and critical thinking skills necessary for lifelong learning. Our faith-based approach to education encourages intellectual curiosity, creativity, leadership, and responsibility while recognizing the unique gifts and potential of every learner.

      Forming the Whole Child

Education at St. Patrick School extends beyond academics. Through service projects, leadership opportunities, extracurricular activities, and community engagement, students learn the importance of empathy, stewardship, and servant leadership. We seek to form compassionate young people who are prepared to make meaningful contributions to both the Church and the world.

A Tradition of Excellence Since 1921

For more than a century, St. Patrick School has remained dedicated to its mission of educating children in faith, knowledge, and service. While honoring our rich traditions, we continue to prepare students for the future with innovation, strong values, and a commitment to excellence rooted in the Catholic faith.
