Our Pre-K (Age 4) students enjoy a structured and engaging school day from 8:30 AM to 1:40 PM that encourages learning, creativity, independence, and social growth. Each morning begins with Circle Time, where children participate in prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, calendar and weather activities, the Letter of the Week, the Question of the Day, songs, rhymes, and story time. Whole Group Learning includes Religion, crafts, Scholastic Reader activities, and math graphing to strengthen foundational academic skills through interactive lessons. During Small Group Learning, children participate in a center-based approach that includes two independent learning centers, one teacher-led center, and one aide-guided center, providing individualized instruction and hands-on learning experiences. Students also participate in weekly specials including Music, Physical Education, Art, Computers, and Spanish. Snack and lunch are brought from home, giving students time to refuel and enjoy social interaction with their classmates.
Throughout the school year, students explore engaging themes such as All About Me, Community Helpers, Thanksgiving, Advent, Christmas, Animals, Habitats, Lent, Easter, and Transportation. These themes are integrated across all subject areas, including Religion, English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Science/STEM, and Social Studies/History, helping children build the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten.
